1. Short title, extent, commencement and application - (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Occupants of Homesteads (Conferment of Ownership) Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th August, 1975. (4) It shall apply to all local areas of the State, other than those comprised within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad and of any Municipality constituted under the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Act 6 of 1965).
