Section 26. Cognizance of Offence

26. Cognizance of Offence :- (1) No court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act except on complaint filed by an officer mentioned in sub-section (7) of section 3 of this Act. (2) No court inferior to that of Judicial Magistrate of first class shall try any offence punishable under this Act.
