Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.

1. (i) This Act may be called the Asom Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti (Taking over of Management and Control) Act, 1984. (ii) It shall extend to all the areas over which the Asom Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti had its jurisdiction immediately before the commencement of this Act. (iii) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of October, 1984.
