Section 56. First appointment of Teachers and Authorities.

56. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the first Registrar shall be appointed by the Chancellor, on such terms and conditions as he may deem fit. A Joint Secretary, Education (Higher), Government of Assam shall be the first Registrar until a regular Registrar is appointed by the Chancellor.
