This Act was repealed on 30 September 2022 by the Assam Repealing Act, 2022 (33 of 2022), s.2 and the Schedule (the whole Act); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
22. Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of this Act, or of any rule or order made thereunder shall, on conviction, be punishable with fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or in default with simple imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month.
