Short title, extent and commencement.

1.(1) This Act may be called the Assam Court of Wards (Delegation of Powers) Act, 1943. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Provincial Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.

Delegation of powers.

2. Notwithstanding anything in the Bengal Court of Wards Act, 1879, all or any of the powers it confers on a Collector may, subject to the previous approval of the Court of Wards, be delegated by him to an officer appointed to assist him in the management of Court of Wards Estates.
