The Assam Don Bosco University Act, 2009

1. (1) This Act. may be called the Assam Don Bosco University Act 2009. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam (3) It shall come into force at once.

2. (1) For furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of higher education and research, there shall be established a Private University under the name and style “The Assam Don Bosco University” in the State of Assam. (2) The details regarding name, location, jurisdiction and Infrastructure of the said University are mentioned in the Schedule appended to this Act.

3. (1) The Assam Don Bosco University Ordinance, 2008 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance so repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
