This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) (Repealing) Act, 2022; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
23. The Courts competent to try offences under this Act shall be the following:- (a) in areas where the Panchayati Adalat, has been established under Section 83 of the Assam Panchayati Raj Act,1972 such Adalat within whose jurisdiction the offence is committed ; (b) in other areas the Court of a Magistrate having jurisdiction.
