Section 60. Existing Teacher and Staff

60. (1) All post of Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous) and Jagannath Barooah University including the vacant posts shall be transferred immediately to the Jagannath Barooah University with effect from the date of commencement of this Act. (2) The existing teachers and staff of the Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous) and Jagannath Barooah University shall constitute a special cadre with respect to their service condition at the time of their appointments. (3) All salary and pension matters of the present and past teacher and staff of Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous) (now upgraded to Jagannath Barooah University) shall be handled by the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam.
