Short title, extent and commencement.

1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Kaziranga University Act, 2012. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam, (3) It shall come into force at once.

Establishment of the Assam Kazirahga University.

2. (1) For furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of higher education and research, there shall be established a Private University under the name and style "The Assam kaziranga University" in the State of Assam. (2) The details regarding name, location, jurisdiction and infrastructure of the said University are mentioned in the Schedule appended to this Act.
