18. The Executive Council shall be the Chief Executive Body of the University and shall consist of the following persons, namely:— (i) the Vice-Chancellor, (ii) the Rector, (iii) the Director of Higher Education, Assam (iv) the Director of Technical Education, Assam (v) the Chairperson, Higher Secondary Education Council, Assam. (vi) two Principals of affiliated Colleges to be elected from amongst themselves. (vii) four members of the Court, other than the employees of the University or affiliated or recognized Colleges , or institutions elected by the court at its Annual General Meeting, (viii) two persons, of whom at least one shall be woman, nominated by the Chancellor, (ix) two persons nominated by the State Government of Assam.
