Section 7. Prohibition against practicing any profession during the tenure of office as Speaker or Deputy Speaker.

7. The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker shall not, during the tenure of their office in respect of which they draw salaries and allowances, - (a) practice any profession or engage in any trade or undertake for remuneration any employment other than their duties as Speaker and Deputy Speaker; (b) be entitled to any salary or allowances as are admissible to a Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
