Section 12. The Registrar

12. (1) The Executive Council shall appoint a person selected by the Government from among a panel containing the names of three persons furnished by the Executive Council to the Government, as Registrar of the University for such period and on such terms as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Registrar shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (3) Suits by against the University shall be instituted by or against the Registrar.
