BIHAR ANIMAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY ACT, 2016

28. Resident Instruction - (1) Subject to provisions of this Act and the Statutes, Resident Instruction in the University shall include Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree progammes and short-term diploma / certificate courses in the disciplines of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, and other allied sciences which may be prescribed. (2) Resident Instruction programmes shall be based on modern system of Education with the objective of producing competent and practical oriented graduates and post-graduates to handle production, management, research, education extension and teaching work in the field of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries and allied sciences. (3) The existing colleges and teaching units along with the facilities and the budgets in the field of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology and Fisheries etc. in the Bihar Agricultural University / Rajendra Agricultural University shall be transferred to the University with effect from such date as the Government may notify.
