1. Short, title, extent and commencement. - (1) This Act may be called the Capital of Punjab (Development and Regulation) Act, 1952. (2) It extends to the City of Chandigarh which shall comprise the areas of the site of the Capital of Punjab as notified by the Government of Punjab before the Ist November, 1966 and to such areas as may be notified by the Central Government from time to time. (3) It shall come into force at once.
