This Act was repealed on 11 September 2006 by the Chhattisgarh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 2004 (28 of 2006), s.21; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. Short title, extend and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 1959. (2) It extends to the whole of Madhya Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
