17.Protection of action taken under this Act.- (1) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceedings shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder. (2) No suit or other legal proceedings shall lie against the State Government for any damage caused or likely to be caused or for any injury suffered or likely to be suffered, by virtue of any provisions of this Act, or for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder.
