This Act was repealed on 13 February 2025 by the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Chhattisgarh Act 21 of 2018), s.30(1), in force from 13 February 2025; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
17. Spread-over — The spread-over of an employee in a residential hotel, restaurant or eating-house shall not exceed fourteen-hours: Provided that the Government may increase the spread-over period subject to such conditions as it may impose on the days that may be notified under sub-section (3) of section 14.
