The Chhattisgarh SHOPS and ESTABLISHMENTS ACT, 1958

This Act was repealed on 13 February 2025 by the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Chhattisgarh Act 21 of 2018), s.30(1), in force from 13 February 2025; it may still apply to matters that began before then.

37. Delegation -- (1) The Government may, by order, direct that any power other than the power to make rules under section 59, or any duty which is conferred or imposed on the State Government, by this Act, shall in such circumstances and under such conditions, if any, as may be specified in that direction be exercised or discharged by any officer or authority subordinate to it. (2) Nothing in this Act shall derogate from the right of the Government to exercise any or all the functions delegated to any local Authority or officer subordinate to it.
