9A. Home guards not disqualified from contesting elections to local bodies. — (1) * * * * * * * * * (2) Notwithstanding anything contained to the contrary in any other law for the being in force a member of the Home Guards shall not be disqualified for chosen as and for being, a member of any local authority merely by reason fact that he is a member of the Home Guards.
