1. Short Title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the 4[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu] 5[Union territory] Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of the 6[Union territory] of 7[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu]. (3) It shall come into force on the 8[date of its publication in the official Gazette].
