1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the 3[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1978. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of 4[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu. (3) It shall come into force at once.
