1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the 4[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu State-Aid to Industries Act, 1965. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of 5[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
