112. Public notice how to be made known.— Every public notice given under this Act or the rules or regulations made thereunder shall be in writing over the signature of the 129[Prescribed Authority] or any Planning and Development Authority, as the case may be, or such other officer who may be authorised in this behalf by the 130[Prescribed Authority] or Planning and Development Authority and shall be widely made known in the locality to be affected thereby by affixing copies thereof in conspicuous public places within the said locality, or by publishing the same by beat of drum or by advertisement in a local newspaper and by such other means which the 131[Prescribed Authority] or the Planning and Development Authority thinks fit.
