DELHI PRISONS ACT,2000

73. (1) The Prisons Act, 1894 (IX of 1894) in its application to Delhi is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal by this Act of the Prisons Act, 1894 referred to in sub-section (1) above, all rules, regulations orders, directions, notifications relating to the prison administration in Delhi, made under the prisons act, 1894 and in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, except where and so far as they are inconsistent with or repugnant to the provisions of this Act, continue in force until altered, amended or repealed by rules made under this Act.
