The Goa Highways Act, 1974

1 Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Goa 1[Omitted] Highways Act, 1973. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu. (3) This section shall come into force at once. The Government, may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that all or any of the remaining provisions of this Act, shall come into force in such area and on such date as may be specified in the notification: Provided that the Government may, by notification issued in like manner, exclude any road or way or class of roads or ways situated in such area from the operation of all or any of the provisions of this Act.
