Article 1193 – Incapacity of married woman in property matters - The wife shall not acquire or alienate assets or incur obligations without the authorisation of the husband, except in cases where the law specifically permits it. § Sole paragraph. In case the husband denies without any reason the authorisation asked by the wife, she may apply to the respective Civil Judge to make it good and the Judge shall grant or reject it, as he thinks fit, after hearing the husband.
