Section 1403. Death or inability of the contractor

Article 1403 – Death or inability of the contractor - Where the contractor dies, the contract may be terminated; but the owner of the work shall compensate the heirs of the contractor, for the work and the expenses incurred. § Sole paragraph - The same provision shall apply when the contractor is unable to complete the work by impediment independent of his will.
