Article 2278 – Changes of easement – The owner of the servient tenement shall not hinder in any manner the use of a constituted easement; but, if the said easement, at the place originally assigned for its use, becomes prejudicial to the owner of the servient tenement, or prevents him from carrying out important repairs or improvements, he may shift it, provided the owner of the dominant tenement is not put to loss. § Sole paragraph – The easement constituted with any restrictions, by title document or by possession, shall not be expanded in its extent or in its frequency.
