Article 2436 – Date of private documents in relation to third person – Private documents as against third parties are deemed to be dated, on the day any of the following events take place: 1. Authentic acknowledgment of the writing. 2. Death of any of the signatories. 3. Production of the document in the Court or in any public office. § Sole paragraph – Authentic acknowledgement is one which is done by a notary in the presence of parties and two witnesses.
