Article 2477 – Record of marriage celebrated before Civil Registration office – Where the marriage is performed before the official of Civil Registration Services, he shall draw the record of the contract, which will be signed by the contracting parties and by witnesses, besides the public official. § Sole paragraph – Where any or both contracting parties do not know to sign, in addition there shall be one witness for each party who shall sign at their request.
