Section 706. Compensation for losses and damages

Article 706 – Compensation for losses and damages - The compensation may consist in restitution of the thing, or of the value substantially due; the restoration of such thing, or of such value, and of profits which the contracting party would have earned, if the contract was performed; in this last case it is called compensation for losses and damages.
