Section 3. Definitions.

3. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (1) " Animal " means an animal to which this Act applies ; (2) " Competent Authority" means a person or body of persons appointed under section 4 to perform the functions of a Competent Authority under this Act: (3) " Prescribed " means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (4) " Schedule " means a Schedule appended to this Act.
