Section 13. Opening and closing hours of commercial establishments.

This Act was repealed on 1 May 2019 by the Gujarat Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2019 (Gujarat Act 4 of 2019), s.41; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
13. (1) No commercial establishment shall on any day be opened earlier than 8-30 a.m. and closed later than 8-30 p.m. ; (2) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (1), the 34[State] Government may fix later opening or earlier closing hours for different classes of commercial establishments or for different areas or for different periods of the year.
