1. (1) This Act may be called the *[Gujarat] Electricity ( 4[ Special] Powers ) Act, 1946, 5[(2) It extends to the whole, of the 6[ State of Gujarat ] ]. (3) It shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1946 7[in the pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay; and in that part of the State of Bombay to which, it is extended by the Bombay Electricity (Special Powers) ( Extension and Amendment) Act, 1958,it shall come into force on such other date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint]. 8[ * * * * * * *]
