8. (1) Any vacancy in office of the Chairman shall be filled, as soon as may be, in the same manner as provided in 4[sub-section (6)] of section 3. (2) Any vacancy in the office of a member of the Board other than that of the ex-officio member or of a member appointed under clause (a) of sub-section (4) of section 3 shall be filled as early as possible after the occurrence of such vacancy, by appointment of a member under the relevent clause: 5[ * * * * * * * * ] (3) Any vacancy in the office of a member appointed under clause (a) of sub-section (4) of Section 3 shall be filled as early as possible after occurrence of such vacancy by appointment of a member under the said clause. 6[ * * * * * * ]
