Section 3. Establishment and Incorporation of University.
The Pandit Deeodayal Petroleum University Act, 2007.
3. (1) There shall be established a University by the name of The 1[Pandit Deendayal Energy University]. (2) The President, the Board, the Academic Council, the Director General, the Directors, the Deans, the Registrar and all other persons who may hereafter become such officers or members so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, hereby constitute a body corporate by the name of the 2[Pandit Deendayal Energy University.] (3) The University shall function as a non-affiliating University and it shall not affiliate any other college or institute for the conferment of degree, diploma and grant of certificate to the students admitted therein. (4) The University shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid, having perpetual succession and common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire and hold property, to contract and shall, by the said name, sue or be sued.
