1. Short title, extent and commencement--(1) This Act may be called the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965 . 2[(2) It extends to the territories which, immediately before the 1st day of November, 1966 were comprised in the State of Punjab, excluding the territory transferred to the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Re- organisation Act, 1966 ( 31 of 1966)]. (3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1965.
