17. (1) Upon the publication of a notification issued under any of the provisions of this Act, the Deputy Commissioner shall cause public notice of the substance thereof to be given at convenient places in the locality to which such notification relates. (2) The procedure prescribed in sections 20, 21 and 22 of the 5[Haryana] Land-Revenue Act, 1887, shall be followed, as far as may be, in proceedings under this Act.
