2. Definitions.- In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) "civil district" or 'district' means the local limits of the jurisdiction of a Principal Civil Court of original jurisdiction; (b) "District Judge" shall include an Additional District Judge; (c) "Government" or "State Government" means the Government of Himachal Pradesh; (d) "High Court" means the High Court of Himachal Pradesh; (e) "Official Gazette" means the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh; and (f) "Small Cause" means a suit of the nature cognizable by a Court of Small Causes under the Provincial Small Cause Courts Act, 1887 (9 of 1887).
