6. Power to discharge a 2[volunteer] of Home Guards.- Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (4) of section 5, the Commandant General or the Commandant shall have the authority to discharge any 3[volunteer] of the Home Guards at any time subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, if, in his opinion, the services of such 4[volunteer] are no longer required.
