The Himachal Pradesh Livestock and Birds Diseases Act, 1968

This Act was repealed on 6 November 2019 by the Himachal Pradesh Repealing Act, 2019 (11 of 2019), s.2 and Schedule; it may still apply to matters that began before then.

5. Veterinary Surgeons.- (1) The Government may either by name or by designation appoint any person holding the office of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, or any graduate of a recognised Veterinary College whom they think fit to be a Veterinary Surgeon for the purposes of this Act, and may define the area within which he shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of a Veterinary Surgeon under this Act. (2) A Veterinary Surgeon shall have all the powers of an Inspector under this Act, and may exercise such powers concurrently with his powers as Veterinary Surgeon.
