Section 24. Resignation of President or Vice-President.

24. Resignation of President or Vice-President.- (1) The President may, by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-President, resign his office. 3[Provided that if the office of the Vice-President is vacant then the President may submit his resignation to the Deputy Commissioner of the district.] (2) The Vice-President may, by writing under his hand addressed to the President, resign his office. 3[Provided that if the office of the President is vacant then the Vice-President may submit his resignation to the Deputy Commissioner of the district and ] (3) The resignation under sub-section (1) or (2) shall take effect from the date of its acceptance by the Vice-President or the President 4[or the Deputy Commissioner], as the case may be.
