71. Powers.- The Special Area Development Authority shall- 3[(a) for the purpose of acquisition of land make a request to the State Govt. to acquire land for public purpose under the provision of 4[Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013];] (b) for the purpose of planning, exercise the powers which the Director has under this Act5[except CHAPTERS IX-A and IX-B]; and (c) for this purpose the municipal administration, have the powers which a Municipal 6[Council has under the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 1994].
