Section 216. Penalty for infringement of bye-laws.

216. Penalty for infringement of bye-laws. In making any bye-law under any section of this Chapter, the municipality may direct that a breach or an abetment of a breach of it, shall be punishable with a fine which shall extend to five hundred rupees and when the breach is a continuing breach, with a further fine of ten rupees for every day after the first conviction during which the breach continues.
