Section 97. Establishment and maintenance of fire brigade.

97. Establishment and maintenance of fire brigade. For the prevention and extinction of fire, the municipality may and, if the Government so directs, shall, establish and maintain a fire-brigade, and provide implements, machinery or means of a communicating intelligence for the efficient discharge of their duties by the brigade.
