Section 161. Punishment for receiving stolen property.

161. Punishment for receiving stolen property. Whoever, dishonestly, receives any stolen material knowing or having reasons to believe the same to be stolen property, shall be liable, on conviction, to the punishment of imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or fine which may extend to rupees ten thousand, or with both.
