53. Recovery of sums due to the Government. – All sums due from a registered society or from an officer or member, past or present of from his sureties or from the estate of a deceased member of a registered society or from his sureties as such to the Governmetn including any casts awarded to the Government may be recovered in the same manner as arrears of land-revenue.
