Section 60 Action to be taken on misbehavior or negligence, incompetence in duty- Without prejudice to the provisions of this Act, the Adhyaksha/ Upadhyaksha may be dismissed by the State Government on his being found guilty of misbehavior or negligence in his duties or in competency in performance of his duties or persistently remiss in discharge there of or any disgraceful behavior, and the Adhyaksha/Upadhyaksha so dismissed shall not be eligible for re-election as member during the remaining term of the said Zila Parishad. Provided that any such Adhyaksha or Upadhyaksha shall not be dismissed unless he is given a reasonable opportunity to submit his explanation.
