Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.

1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the 1[Karnataka]1 Animal Diseases (Control) Act, 1961. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the 1[State of Karnataka]1. (3) It shall come into force at once in the areas in which the enactments repealed by section 38 are in force; and shall come into force in any other area on such 2[date]2 as the State Government may, by notification specify.
